AS part of HWS’ Developing Dementia Befrienders project we have designed and developed a range of films with key messages for small businesses and other service providers whose customers or service users maybe living with dementia. These films use an exciting approach to learning, known as byte-sized learning,are designed to enable busy people to access training at a time that is convenient to them. HWS has created three scenarios to provide an insight into a range of situations where the behaviours being displayed are mainly due to the person having dementia. The films provide guidance to managers and their staff about ‘bad and good‘ practice in supporting people living with dementia in the community. These scenarios can be viewed through the links below:
